You won’t be surprised to find that this free relationship app allows you to privately share text and voice messages, as well as photos, but it does have a few unusual features. You can see when your partner is awake or sleeping, and you can wake them up with an alarm. Then there’s the “Aunt Flo” feature, which let’s you know when your girlfriend or wife gets her period. It’s a good-looking app and the free Wi-Fi calls, private texting, and photo album make it worth checking out.
You&Me
Here’s a good-looking, private messaging app for you and your partner. You can send simple text messages, voice messages, and videos. There are also options built-in to help you customize your photos with text, frames, and filters. You can create photos together and edit your partner’s photos. Your relationship is organized into shared memories as you use the app. You can even build a shared soundtrack.

You’ll find a solid mix of the usual features here. You can chat and share photos privately, send love letters, create a relationship story, and sync your calendar for important dates. The “Wishbox” is a nice idea that enables you to sync to-do lists and find good ideas on what to do together. You can even add the app to your lock screen for a shortcut to your partner.

If you want to find a way to delve into your partner’s deepest desires without having to interrogate them in person, then you could use this sexy icebreaker. There are all sorts of questions about everything from sex toys to love-making positions. The idea is that you mark them definitely, maybe, or no, and then the app checks your answers and shows up all the matches.
LoveByte
This couples messenger is packed with features to help you record your relationship. There’s a shared homepage and a time line where you can add photos and notes. You can also chat privately, use it to locate your partner, and set date reminders. There are lots of suggestions for possible gifts and ideas for your next date. You can set a passcode to keep prying eyes out.
Avocado
You’ll find a private, secure place for two on Avocado. You can share a calendar, lists, photos, and even doodles in this app. There’s also a built in messenger, although it’s not as snappy as some of the best messaging apps on the market. It keeps an archive of your relationship, has a minimalist UI that’s pretty attractive, and proper support for tablets.
Between
Here’s another option for private 1-to-1 chats. You can share text messages, a calendar, photos, memos, and voice mails in Between. Uploaded photos are automatically organized into a timeline and you can comment on them. Cute touches include a counter listing the days since you met and a Memory Box for saving really special photos or memos. It’s a good looking, robust, and easy app to use.

This private real-time messenger also allows you to share videos, photos, and voice messages. There’s a wide range of stickers, you can sketch together in real-time, and you can even make calls within the app. There’s a shared calendar, you can share your location, and there are suggestions for date night. The secret photo option allows you to send a snap that will auto-delete. One unusual and totally unique feature is dubbed ThumbKiss; it lets you to touch your phones simultaneously and make them vibrate.

Twyxt is a messenger for two. It has unique emoticons and lets you save special messages and photos in a “Keepsake” section. The best feature is probably the automatically generated calendar of your relationship, which is good for sharing lists and event details. Best of all, it’s completely private with optional PIN protection.

Free Greetings Cards
If you’re a little late to the game this year, or hate wasting paper, then an e-card might be your best option. This app allows you to put together your own cards using personal photos. Add the text you want and then send cards via email or social media. You’ll also find a number of template cards to use and there’s a large Valentine’s section, but you may need to subscribe to get access to everything.
